Orphan Team Day Two

We got a great start on painting the new residence for children whose parents are in prison.  The name of the house is called Tesoros which translated in spanish means treasures.  Everyone on the team worked extremely hard to finish the task.  We were able to paint several of the rooms to make the house ready to be occupied.

The afternoon was again spent at the orphanage called Maria Yoder de Campi.  We had a blast playing with the kids, singing songs, coloring, blowing bubbles and generally just loving on the children.

Todd and I helped paint part of the kitchen ceiling.  Sharon Roberts was busy doing health checkups on the children.

We talked in our devotional tonight about the children at the orphanage and the main difference that separates them from our own children.  The obvious answer is that the don't have parents.  We were challenged to be grateful for our upbringing and to be more aware of how we can minister to others in our our community who are needy.
